The demonstration by relatives of missing Baloch individuals and families of detained leaders from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) marked its sixth consecutive day on Monday, as reported by The Balochistan Post (TBP).

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has reported a wave of protests and strikes across Balochistan following the extrajudicial killing of Zeeshan Zaheer, a dedicated member of the BYC, by what the Committee describes as state-backed death squads.
The vessel KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya, which departed from Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi en route to Bali, sank just 25 minutes after setting sail. 23 of the 65 people on board survived, four died and search continues for 38 missing persons, authorities said.
The worst-hit district is Mandi, where all five casualties and the highest number of missing persons - 16 - were reported. Eleven people remain stranded, and several more have been evacuated from flood-affected zones. A total of 278 individuals were rescued from Mandi, the HP-SEOC confirmed.

Mahjabeen Baloch, a Library Science major at the University of Balochistan, and her brother Muhammad Younus Baloch, an engineering student at Khuzdar University, were allegedly apprehended in separate operations in late May.
In a post shared by BYC on X, it was revealed that the demonstration began at Shopping Road near Police Station Chowk and ended in a sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner's office.
