The Principal District and Sessions Court Chennai extended judicial custody of Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil Balaji in connection with a cash-for-job money laundering case.
The Supreme Court on Monday asked DMK minister V Senthil Balaji, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case, to furnish his latest medical reports for the court's perusal, while hearing his bail plea.
Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil Balaji, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate for his alleged involvement in a cash-for-job money, was taken to the Omandurar Government Multi Speciality Hospital for medical examination on Wednesday.
In his bail plea, Balaji said that his health condition was such that it required continuous physiotherapy. His lawyers also contended that he was medically confirmed suffering from chronic lacunar stroke symptoms. However, ED opposed the bail by saying that he is not suffering from a health
