Former Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said that the question of the people is how Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will respond to Law Minister HK Patil's letter, in which he expressed dissatisfaction over the government's handling of illegal mining cases.
Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy stated that he will respond legally to the complaint made against him by the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Chandrashekar in connection with the alleged illegal mining case.
"Departmental activities should be reviewed regularly and a joint meeting of the Revenue, Home and Mineral Departments should be organised. A strategy should be worked out for effective control of illegal mining. Work to stop the illegal mining of minerals should be undertaken at all costs.
