Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the recently implemented four labour codes, calling them a "game-changer" for the Indian workforce.
Murleedharan claimed that under the new codes, the labourers can form an organisation only if a minimum of 10 per cent of the members are a part of it. He called this provision incorrect, saying that forming a union is a workers' right.
