Former United States President Donald Trump was indicted on Wednesday with one of the gravest charges a former President can face for his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 US Presidential polls.
Zelenskyy in a news conference with Spanish media in Kyiv on Saturday, said: "Mike Pence has visited us, and he supports Ukraine. First of all, as an American, and then as a Republican."
His announcement on Tuesday evening will come a day after fellow Republican moderate Chris Sununu, the governor of New Hampshire, decided not to run and less than 24 hours before former Vice President Mike Pence formally enters the race.
This contest will feature Mike Pence, who served as both vice president and a staunch supporter of former President Trump, competing against Trump himself for the GOP nomination.
According to The Hill, Pence's team, in January notified that a small number of records were "accidentally packaged and carried" to the former vice president's residence at the end of the previous administration.
