The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the Southeast Bay of Bengal around 6 May and that under its influence a low-pressure area is likely to form over the same region around 7 May.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall on May 4 in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand - Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh - while the weather will remain dry with partial clouds in the plains, according to the State Meteorological Center.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted drizzle at one or two places on Thursday and Saturday in the national capital while the weather will be partly cloudy on Friday and Saturday, IMD said.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued an alert regarding heavy rainfall and hailstorm at isolated places in several parts of the country for the next three days.
"Light to Moderate spells of rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mumbai, Thane and Palghar during the next 3-4 hours, said the India Meteorological Department, Mumbai.
"In the state, an alert has been issued for hailstorms and thunderstorms with a speed of 70 km per hour and heavy snowfall in areas above 3500 meters," read the IMD release.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert in Shimla and some parts of Himachal Pradesh for increased rainfall activity after May 1 and 2.
