PDP candidate and Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija Mehbooba Mufti, the Jammu & Kashmir, is trailing with 17,127 votes, behind by a margin of 5,067 votes. Despite her efforts, Mufti is struggling to gain ground in the constituency.
Ahead of counting of votes for Jammu and Kashmir elections, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah said that even if they did not need the support from Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) then also they would take it.
Notably, the Axis My India has predicted a hung assembly in Jammu and Kashmir with the National Conference-Congress alliance slightly ahead and the BJP tailgating the opposition.
According to TV-Today C-voter projections, the NC-Congress alliance is likely to win 40-48 seats while the BJP can win 27-32. Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti-led People's Democratic Party is likely to win 6-12 seats whereas others can win 6-11.
