According to the Election Commission, the counting in all 13 centres will commence at 8 am on Thursday. The counting will initially begin with Postal ballot Count for the first 30 minutes followed by the counting of polled votes in the EVM Control Units.

Ahead of Monday's Assembly elections, as many as 900 polling stations across the state have been identified as vulnerable and critical, the state's chief electoral officer (CEO) said on Saturday.
Polling will be held at 3,419 polling stations across 59 Assembly constituencies in the state. The voting will begin at 7 am and continue till 4 pm, on Monday. Of the 60 Assembly constituencies in Meghalaya, 36 fall in Khasi, Jaintia Hills region while 24 are in Garo Hills region.
In South Garo Hills, the first polling party to leave early morning is the team going to Rongcheng Polling Station where they will need to trek 8 km to reach the polling station from the last motorable point, officials said.
