Madhubala Meena, widow of jawan Hemraj who lost his life during the Pulwama attack in 2019 has alleged that the police 'forcibly' removed her along with the other protesters from the site on the pretext of the "medical treatment".
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot accused Meena of using the widows for political gains. Meena, in turn, has accused the police of "trying to kill him".
The protests by the Pulwama widows intensified on Thursday as they sought justice from the Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government by putting grass in their mouths.
"BJP is not doing any politics, we are only serving the people. The government has made huge promises, but it's been four years, and nothing has been done, because of which the widows are still sitting on protest," Kirori Lal Meena said.
"Police took out a flag march with paramilitary forces and the whole area was checked through drone regarding Holi and Shab-e-Barat in Moradabad," Hemraj Meena, senior superintendent of police (SSP) said.
According to the New York Times report, Meena Kotwal, the founder of news portal 'The Mooknayak', wanted to start a news outlet that focussed on marginalised communities as "she knew there were millions who desperately needed their stories told,"
Lekhi said, "India would work towards reforming multilateralism. There is a better methodology in resolving conflicts and not letting them happen in the first place in the interest of maintaining social order."
On Friday, the makers of 'Happy Family' unveiled the trailer of the comedy series. It features an ensemble of established and young actors, such as Raj Babbar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Atul Kulkarni, and Ayesha Jhulka, along with Raunaq Kamdar, Meenal Sahu, Sanah Kapur, and Ahaan Saboo.
