McLaren's Lando Norris has shown interest in joining Max Verstappen's Formula 1 team Red Bull one day, saying he'd be curious to see how he stacks up against "one of the best drivers ever."
Overcoming heavy rain at the start and end of the race, Red Bull Racing star Max Verstappen secured a record-levelling ninth-successive Formula 1 victory of the season in the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
With this win, he is just one race away from overtaking Sebastian Vettel's record of nine straight wins back in 2013. This record-levelling win could not have come at a better location as Verstappen raced through the tracks amid heavy support from the home country crowd.
Verstappen emerged at the top in a one-lap shootout at the end of Q3 which was delayed by a couple of red flags. He delivered a timing of 1:10.567 to outdo McLaren's Norris by just over half a second. Mercedes driver George Russell finished at third.
While Red Bull has delivered a historic run to win all 12 Grands Prix, along with three Sprints, going into the summer break, McLaren is now part of a fierce battle taking place behind Verstappen. In a recent interview, Lando Norris said that the team is going to struggle a lot more.
