The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken an early lead in 78 wards over the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is leading in 42 wards in the initial trends that have emerged after an hour of counting of votes for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections that began on Wednesday.
The counting of votes for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election will be held on Wednesday to decide the winner of the high-stakes civic polls where the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) face each other.
"The issue of notification will be on Nov 7 and will end on Nov 14. The last date of withdrawal of candidature is Nov 19. Voting for the polls will be on December 4 and the results will be announced on December 7," said Vijay Dev.
