The Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Mazagon Dockyard Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), Mumbai, on December 20, 2023, for the procurement of six Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPVS) for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
In a significant development, the state-owned Mazagon Dockyards Limited has submitted its response to the Defence Ministry tender for building three new Kalvari class submarines for the Indian Navy.
During his visit, he inaugurated a security complex at MDL and engaged in an interactive session with executives, addressing various concerns, read the Ministry of Defence press release.
