A massive fire broke out in the Mumbra area of Thane hills on Wednesday evening, prompting a swift response from Maharashtra firefighters, officials said.
Mukesh Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, East Kutch, said, "We received information about the fire incident from the Gandhidham city of Kutch. Upon receiving the news about the blaze, we dispatched a team of fire tenders and a police team for dousing operations."
A massive fire broke out at a sofa and beds manufacturing unit in Uppal of Medchal-Malkajgiri district Telangana. Four fire engines were promptly dispatched to the site and managed to control the fire, no casualties were reported, said an official.
According to the Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Department, the massive fire caused significant damage, resulting in the loss of cash, and jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh, the lifetime savings of the labourers.
