The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Thursday organised the 22nd National Maritime Search and Rescue (NMSAR) Board meeting in Kochi, Kerala. The event also marked the commencement of the 11th edition of the National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX-24) off the Kochi Coast on November 29
Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, who inaugurated the inaugural session of SAREX-24, said, "This is done once in two years by the Indian Coast Guard in collaboration with all national partners who are members of the National Maritime Assistance and Security Board.

The Indian Cast Guard will conduct National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercises & Workshop (SAREX-24) under the aegis of NMSAR Board at Kochi from November 27 to 30, according to an official press statement.
