The BJP won the assembly election by a comfortable margin today, winning 48 out of 70 assembly seats. The AAP saw a dismal performance this time, winning only 22 seats, a far cry from their 2020 performance, where they won 62 seats.
"I thank the people of RK Puram, party workers and PM Modi in whose name we fought the election. I have won with a margin of 14,500 votes after the final round of counting," Sharma told ANI.
According to the Election Commission of India, Negi has won the seat by a margin of 28,072 votes as he has won a total of 74,060 votes while AAP's Awadh Ojha has got only 45,988 votes. Congress' Anil Kumar has got 16,549 votes.
