Mapusa Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Jivba Dalvi said, “The accused had recorded a video wherein he can be seen abusing and insulting the modesty of a lady police officer. Which was then widely circulated on social media.”
According to a complaint lodged by the girl on Friday, the accused had molested and raped her a few days back and further threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed it to her parents.
The sub-divisional police officer of Goa Police Mapusa Jivba Dalvi mentioned that the accused citizen from Uganada was staying in Anjuna without possessing valid travel documents.
Mapusa Police has booked a teacher of a Higher Secondary School under stringent sections of the POCSO Act and Goa Children's Act for allegedly molesting minor students.
"We have received the report on the blast at a restaurant and bar in Mapusa city. As per the report, gas leakage from a pipe led to a cylinder blast. In this incident, no one suffered any injury," DGP Goa Jaspal Singh told ANI.
During patrolling, under the supervision of PI Paresh Naik, three private vehicles were found to be rented out illegally to tourists, as per Jivba Dalvi, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Mapusa.
"The accused assaulted the victim with a knife causing multiple injuries on vital parts and threatened them with dire consequences to killing," said SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi.
