A Delhi court on Monday discharged a man arrested for allegedly supplying an illegal weapon to Shahrukh Pathan, an accused in the Northeast Delhi riots case.
According to Delhi Police, Bawana police station received a PCR call that a person snatched Rs 5,000 impersonating himself as Pollution Inspector at factory in Sector-2, DSIIDC, Bawana in a bid of extortion on January 23.
The Chhattarpur police on Tuesday apprehended an accused for allegedly giving death threats to self-styled godman Dhirendra Shastri, also known as Bageshwar Dham Sarkar.
The man who was identified as Mahamed Sharif (41), hailing from Karnataka's Dakshin Kannada, presented a fake business card and stayed at the hotel for nearly three months last year, according to the police.
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally here, Mumbai Police arrested a man for entering the rally posing as an Army soldier, informed police officials on Saturday.
