The accused has been identified as Navinder Gill, 40-year-old, was charged with killing his wife, Harpreet Kaur Gill, 40, who died in hospital on December 7 after she was found with multiple stab wounds.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Devesh Kumar Mahala, it has been confirmed that Aggarwal messaged several police officers to solicit favours in the name of a Delhi High Court Judge.
"A person identified as Narayan Kumar Soni has been arrested from Bihar. He called up NCP President Sharad Pawar's residence Silver Oak yesterday & threatened to kill him. He will be produced before the court today," Mumbai Police said.
Ghaziabad Police on Sunday apprehended a person for calling up an individual from a virtual number on a social messaging app and threatening to kill him if he did not pay Rs 20 lakh.
The deceased, 28, was identified as Om Kumar, while the accused persons were identified as Kartik and Ravi. Kartik has been arrested by the police, however, Ravi is still on the run.
The accused was identified as Suresh Kumar Sahu, a resident of Koyalibeda area of the district. The police also recovered Maoist pamphlets and materials used in triggering explosions, including wires and detonators, from the accused.
