"We're going to fight unitedly, all opposition parties, and for that we will be meeting once again in Shimla. We will continue our fight," said Kharge on the opposition meeting.
The mega event was attended by Chief Ministers of several opposition-ruled states including Mamata Banerjee and some other prominent leaders from parties opposed to the BJP
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President, MK Stalin, said all like-minded Opposition parties need to come together with a single-pointed goal -- to defeat the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in next year's Lok Sabha elections.
Kharge further said that the opposition parties will meet in Shimla to chalk out a roadmap for the formation of an anti-BJP front for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar said on Friday that the opposition parties had a "good meeting" in Patna and it has been decided to fight the elections together
"There is a war of ideology going on in India. On one side is Congress party's 'Bharat Jodo' ideology and on the other RSS and BJP's 'Bharat Todo' ideology," Rahul Gandhi said to party workers in Bihar's Patna.
The highly-anticipated Opposition meeting begins in Bihar's Patna hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with an aim to arrive at a consensus to forge a united Opposition front to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
"First they should decide who is the actual PM contender among all those who are coming for the opposition meeting in Patna. Everyone is coming here to solve their own problems," he said while talking to ANI.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday addressed the party workers at Bihar State Congress office Sadakat Ashram and said that if the party wins in Bihar they can win across the country.
