Amid speculation over a potential upcoming cabinet reshuffle in the state government, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Wednesday stated that any decisions in this regard lie solely with the Congress high command.

"The Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge, has approved the candidature of Naveen Yadav as Congress party candidate for the ensuing bye-election to the Legislative Assembly of Telangana from 61 - Jubilee Hills Constituency," the party said in a statement on Wednesday.
At a press conference held in Bengaluru, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge deeply condemned the attempted attack on the Chief Justice of India BR Gavai in the Supreme Court.
The meeting, chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, will be held virtually with various CEC members and senior leaders of the party set to attend. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will be joining online too while on a visit to the South American countries.
"The number of crimes against Dalits, minorities, and the poor in the country has increased beyond limits. This violence disproportionately affects those who are deprived, marginalised, and lack adequate representation or participation," the party added.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday strongly condemned the alleged attempt to attack Chief Justice of India (CJI) B R Gavai inside the Supreme Court, describing the incident as "unprecedented, shameful and abhorrent."
Kharge, 83, recently underwent pacemaker implantation and has been reported as stable. He is expected to resume his official engagements from October 3, according to his son and Karnataka IT Minister, Priyank Kharge.
