Calling it a "true gesture of goodwill," Maldives Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer on Monday thanked External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar after India extended budgetary support to Maldives in the form of a rollover of USD 50 Million Treasury Bill.
The Maldivian Foreign Minister, Moosa Zameer, who is on an official visit to India, interacted with the Maldivian community residing in and visiting New Delhi.
"So, in fact, even today, with my discussions with the External Affairs Minister, we are discussing the President's visit to Delhi very soon. Hopefully," he said.

Jaishankar said that India has been a key provider of development assistance to the Maldives and the projects have benefited the lives of the people of the country.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) also shared details of his arrival on X saying. "Warm welcome to FM @MoosaZameer of Maldives on his official visit to India. Discussions on bilateral & regional issues and seeking ways to provide impetus to our multifaceted relationship lie ahead."

During his India visit, the Maldivian Minister will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and hold discussions in deepening the India-Maldives longstanding partnership, the Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a release.
Notably, ties between India and the Maldives have been strained since Mohamed Muizzu assumed office, as he criticised New Delhi during and after the presidential polls.
