The people gathered also protested the killing of deputy commissioner Zakir Baloch in Mastung district. Zakir Baloch's vehicle was target by gunmen and in the firefight he was killed.

Families of forcibly disappeared Baloch protesters have announced that they will be holding a rally in Quetta on August 12 demanding information about the whereabouts of their loved ones.
Mahrang Baloch, a prominent figure in the Balochistan protests against Pakistani security forces, criticised the Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Pakistan for accusing the Baloch Yakjheti Committee (BYC) of being proxies for terrorist organisations.
Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch on Sunday, urged the Pakistan authorities to reopen the major highways, restore internet and mobile services immediately and fulfil the other demands of Baloch protesters.
"The BYC believes that the state prefers the use of force over negotiations. Therefore, on the one hand, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gwadar has been sent to negotiate with us, while on the other hand, the worst kind of force is being used," the BYC said in a statement on X.
Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch has urged the United Nations and other rights groups, including Human Rights Watch (HRW) and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) to intervene and stop the "political misadventure by the state of Pakistan."
Baloch activists say that despite ongoing negotiations, the state is intensifying its crackdown on peaceful protesters across Pakistan, leading to increased casualties and injuries among civilians.
The people of Pakistan's Balochistan province are currently not able to access information as the Pakistani security forces imposed a curfew and have blocked internet across various cities amid the ongoing protests against enforced disappearances.
