In a big blow to the Congress, former Rajasthan Cabinet Minister and Congress leader Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya joined the Bhartiya Janata party on Monday ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Congress MLA and former Rajasthan minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya on Friday lamented the grand old party's 'plight' amid speculations of him joining the ruling BJP.
Notably, Malviya did not come to Jaipur during the filing of the nomination papers of Sonia Gandhi as a Congress candidate from Rajasthan for the Rajya Sabha elections on February 14.
