NCP chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has refused to comment on his uncle and NCP (SP) leader Sharad Pawar's remarks on the possibility of their joining hands again and said he will fight the coming assembly polls as part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in the state
"The taxpayers are suffering due to the government's mismanagement. My demand is that they have to give a clear package, clean the area, and ensure food and water supply. People's documents have gone missing, children's books have gone missing, and the government has to pay for all this.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and National Congress Party Chief, Ajit Pawar on Sunday announced that his party will fight the local body elections in the state independently.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday said that the Mahayuti government must work together to prepare for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state, and ensure that the opposition does not get any opportunity to spread fake narratives.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met with newly elected Shiv Sena MPs in the national capital and said that the alliance between the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not a political alliance but it is a time-tested friendship.
The meeting comes a day after Nadda appointed state election in-charges and co-in-charges for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir which are going to polls this year.
"In the Lok Sabha elections, Maha Vikas Aghadi got 0.3 per cent more votes (than the Mahayuti alliance). If we talk about Mumbai we got 2 lakh votes more," Bawankule said.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar said on Friday that no one in his party or the ruling Mahayuti alliance is upset by Rajya Sabha nomination of his wife Sunetra Pawar.
NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Monday asked his party workers to be ready for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections this year and claimed the power of the state will be in their hands after the polls.
