Government Railway Police (GRP) SSP Prashant Kumar on Sunday said that they were coordinating with the railways and the local police to ensure smooth functioning as people continue to flock to the Lucknow railway station to visit the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
To ease the extra rush of passengers during the Mahakumbh Mela and in the backdrop of the recent stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, Northern Railway has decided to run four special trains to facilitate smooth travel for devotees and travellers.

Devotees in large numbers are arriving in Varanasi for darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath temple after taking a holy dip during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Sunday.
One of the devotees who came for darshan said, "We have come here to Ayodhya from Prayagraj. There is a lot of crowd, but there is no problem with darshan. Ramlala is being seen easily, and the arrangement of administration and police is good."
