The Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj has seen an unprecedented influx of devotees, with a massive 10.80 crore plus taking the sacred plunge at the revered Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati confluence, as of Friday.
Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 25 (ANI): Aarti was performed at the Triveni Sangam on Saturday morning at the Mahakumbh Mela ongoing in Prayagraj.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a grand Uttarakhand Pavilion has been established at Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj, offering a rich display of the state's cultural, artistic, and spiritual heritage, according to an official statement.
Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty on Friday hailed the arrangements at the ongoing Maha Kumbh, describing them as "clean, safe, divine, grand, and digital." She further stated that the model of the Mahakumbh arrangements could serve as a benchmark for other governments to follow.
The ongoing Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj has witnessed an unprecedented turnout of devotees, with over 10 crore people taking a holy dip at the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati, since January the commencement of the mega spiritual event.
"A meeting of the cabinet was held here in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Big decisions have been taken here. Preparations for 2031 Ardha Kumbh have also started here in Mahakumbh 2025. I cannot express the feeling after taking a holy dip here," Deputy CM Maurya told ANI.
"This festival symbolises the resurgence of Sanatan Dharma, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is committed to elevating it to even greater heights," said Chidanand Saraswati.
Maha Kumbh is one of the largest and most significant religious congregations in the world. The key 'snan' dates left are: January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami - Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
As per the data of the Uttar Pradesh government, more than 1.597 million devotees took a dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj on the ninth day of the Mahakumbh.
