The earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck northern Afghanistan near the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in the early hours of Monday at around 2:00 am IST, killing at least 20 people and injuring over 300 others.
In a statement posted on X, ANDMA said the earthquake occurred around 1 am (local time) and shook multiple regions, including the country's northwestern, central, western, northern, north-eastern, and eastern zones.
Earlier on Saturday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck Myanmar. The NCS said that the earthquake occurred at 11:00 AM and at a depth of 37 kilometres.
According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. "EQ of M: 4.1, On: 01/11/2025 17:42:26 IST, Lat: 36.69 N, Long: 75.51 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Leh, Ladakh," the NCS said in a post on X.
