National Convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch Maulana Suhaib Qasmi on Saturday alleged that Popular Front of India (PFI) is targeting educated Muslims in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and wants to misguide youth in schools and Madrasas.
Cracking down on 'fake madrasas' in Uttar Pradesh, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) submitted its report to the government citing 219 'fake madrasas' in Azamgarh some of which had allegedly received state grants in the name of modernisation.
Masood on Monday told reporters, "The government should clarify which literature has been found wrong and where. Earlier also they targeted madrasas and got it investigated. Do they find anything in it? Get it done again but also investigate the Saraswati Shishu Mandir."
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Thursday wrote to the Chief Secretaries of all states and Union Territories and directed them to conduct a detailed inquiry of all the recognized Madrasas admitting non-Muslim students.

In his statement to ANI, Barbhuiya said, "Survey of private madrasas will be completed within 6 months. Those that don't have students are being amalgamated. We're focusing on the infrastructure of madrasas".
The Madrasas will have to submit all information, including the location of the institution, teachers' details etc to the Secondary Education department of the state government by December 1 via the organizations under which they operate.
Aiming to provide better education in madrasas, the Gehlot government has decided to connect 500 madrasas in the state with a digital mode of education by building smart classrooms.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 13 (ANI): A total of 6,436 unrecognized madrasas have been identified in the state so far, and the survey has been completed of 5,170 madrasas, said State Minority Welfare Minister Dharampal Singh on Wednesday.
