Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha candidate from Ghazipur, Afzal Ansari cast his vote at a polling booth in the constituency on Saturday. He is pitted against BJP's Paras Nath Rai and BSP's Umesh Kumar Singh.

After Congress announced its decision to boycott the debates related to exit polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party criticised the move of the opposition party saying that it has already conceded defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal announced on Friday that a total of Rs 440.32 crore worth of items, including cash, liquor, drugs, and various goods, were recovered by police in West Bengal from March 3 to May 31.
