At least 18 Delhi-bound flights were diverted, while many others were delayed on Saturday due to low visibility and bad weather at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, said airport sources.
The installation of ILS on runway 26 approach of Belagavi Airport will enable the landing of aircraft in low visibility as well as for night landings, the authority added.
As per the motorway police, the incident took place near the Burhan Interchange due to low visibility. The rescue teams soon after the incident, reached the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
"Due to low visibility, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's helicopter made an emergency landing at Sevoke Airbase. She was going to Bagdogra after addressing a public gathering at Krinti, Jalpaiguri. She is safe," TMC leader Rajib Banerjee said.
Weather authorities in Beijing warned people not to go outdoors for exercise and other activities, and have asked drivers to stay vigilant and reduce speed because of low visibility, reported CNN.
While Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special and Barauni-NewDelhi Clone Special are running late by over 4 hours, Raigarh-Hazrat Nizamuddin Gondwana Express, and Raxaul-Anand Vihar Terminal Sadbhavana Express are running behind schedule by 3:00 hours and 3:30 hours respectively, officials said.
According to railway officials, Batia-Anand Vihar Terminal Clone Special is running late by
five-and-a-half hours and Barauni-NewDelhi Clone Special is delayed by four hours.
