At least 14 people were killed following lightning strikes in Balochistan and Punjab as heavy downpours hit parts of provinces on Saturday, Geo News reported, citing officials.
Three people, including two children, were killed by lightning strikes and two others were injured as heavy rains lashed parts of Balochistan on Friday.
Gujarat has been witnessing unseasonal rainfall in many parts of the state since Sunday morning. Hailstones also fell in many places, accompanied by sporadic downpours.
Two people died while 18 others were injured when a tree they were standing under to shield themselves from the rain was struck by lightning in Keeranur village in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu, officials said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the loss of animal’s life due to lightning in Unnao district and has given instructions to pay assistance amount to the concerned cattle herders as per the rules.
"Three persons including a woman were killed, and three others were injured in the incidents. The injured are undergoing treatment," Ramji Mishra, Additional District Magistrate, Mainpuri told ANI.
According to the official statement from the chief minister's office, with this, the total number of lightning-related deaths in the state rose to 24 in the last 36 hours.
District Administration said that five people died in Barwa Sagar which comes under Mehnagar police station and in another similar incident one person died in the Maharajganj area of the district.
