Addressing citizens ahead of the festival of lights, CM Dhami called upon the people to participate actively in the state's journey toward sustainable development, while keeping the spirit of Diwali alive through responsible celebration.
As the festival of lights draws near, Bollywood celebrities are already immersed in Diwali celebrations. Veteran actor Neetu Kapoor hosted an intimate pre-Diwali gathering that turned into a star-studded family affair, with several members of the Kapoor clan in attendance.
The Governor wished for the good health, prosperity and well-being of the people. He said that Diwali, the festival of lights, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness and of knowledge over ignorance, according to an official statement.
"The true spirit of Diwali lies in sharing joy, compassion, and togetherness. These children are our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they grow up with love, dignity and opportunities," stated the Chief Minister Sukhu.
Amid grand Diwali parties and intimate celebrations, actor Ibrahim Ali Khan shared a joyful moment with his brothers, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh), giving fans a glimpse of their pre-Diwali celebrations.
As part of the festivities, the Chief Minister performed the aarti of artists dressed as Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman. He also pulled the symbolic chariot, or 'Pushpak Vimaan,' carrying the artists depicting the divine trio.
Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Sunday extended his heartfelt greetings to the state and the nation on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, said the release.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal and may move west-northwestward and gradually intensify. The system is expected to strengthen further into a deep depression, authorities said.
