Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai on Friday wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to secure the release of twelve fishermen of the state arrested by the Maldivian authorities allegedly for straying into their territorial waters.
"I wish to draw your kind attention on the need to expedite the granting of assent to the Tamil Nadu Admission to Undergraduate Medical Degree Courses Bill, 2021, which has been pending for the presidential assent for more than a year," the Chief Minister wrote in his letter.
"I request that the total wage liability amount of Rs 2,696.77 crore be released to Tamil Nadu immediately. Further, additional funds may also be released to unskilled workers regularly. I look forward to your personal intervention in this regard," the Tamil Nadu CM said in the letter.
