Addressing the Indian community in Freetown, Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, who is leading the Group 6 all-party delegation, stated that Sierra Leone was the first country whose parliament observed a moment of silence in honour of the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, who is leading an Indian parliamentary delegation to Sierra Leone, met with the country's Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Friday (local time).
Jalloh strongly condemned terrorism, describing its damaging consequences. "We outrightly condemn terrorism. We know the devastating impact it has not only on the security but also on the development prospects of the country," he said.

The group 4 delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde arrived in Sierra Leone, as part of an outreach programme. The delegation was welcomed by Baisnab Charan Pradhan, the High Commissioner of India to Sierra Leone.
He further added that there is also scope to enhance the developmental ties between Sierra Leone and India because of the diversity of minerals in the former.

bipartisan group of Indian MPs has been named to seven delegations visiting key partner countries with the aim of "One Mission, One Message, and One Nation" and highlighting India's policy of zero tolerance on terrorism on the global stage.
During the FOC, delegates from both the sides took a comprehensive view of the India-Sierra Leone bilateral relations, encompassing trade, people-to-people ties, among other aspects.
