Lawyers of the Delhi District Court Bar Associations withdrew their strike after authorities agreed to their demand for physical deposition of police personnel before courts. The strike opposed an LG notification permitting video testimony from police stations.

The Delhi High Court Bar Association has written to the CJI and collegium, expressing concern that frequent transfers of judges affect morale of lawyers and public confidence. It urged greater transparency and consultation in judicial appointments.
The strike has been suspended in view of a statement issued from the office of Commissioner of police saying that operation of the LG's notification would only be carried out after hearing all stakeholders.
The Congress chief also highlighted that an action should also be taken against those who stalled it for six years, adding that the concerned officials and lawyers should be punished who misleaded resulting in wasting huge government's money in the case.
