The Jammu-Srinagar national highway was blocked for vehicular traffic following landslides due to heavy rainfall in Mehad and Cafeteria Morh of Ramban district on Sunday.
Flash flood has hit the Bagipul area of Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district with over 200 people including tourists and locals stranded, informed the police on Sunday.
Incessant rains in the last 24 hours, have caused extensive damage in several parts of Mandi district. At the same time, roads have been shut in many areas. Several vehicles were washed away due to flash flood in a rivulet at Janjehli in Mandi district.
According to an official press release, the troops of the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army provided assistance on the second day on Sunday to 300 stranded tourists.

"Around 3500 tourists were stranded due to the landslides and washing away of a bridge near Chungthang in North Sikkim," Lt Col Mahendra Rawat Public Relations Officer, Defence said.
As the monsoon season nears in Bhutan, officials from Phuentshogling Dungkhag and Thromde have been taking proactive steps to prevent landslides in the region, reported Bhutan Live.
According to the release, heavy torrential rains were witnessed in Lachen, Lachung and Chungthang valleys on Friday. As a result of this, approximately 500 tourists who were travelling to Lachung and Lachen Valley were stranded at Chungthang, due to landslides and road blocks en route.
