Shifting focus to its next space odyssey after successfully placing a lander on the moon's uncharted South Pole, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Saturday said the country's maiden solar mission — Aditya-L1 — will "possibly" be launched on September 2.
PM Modi also announced that the touchdown spot of the Vikram lander on the lunar surface would from now onwards be known as the ‘Shiv Shakti’ point while the Chandrayaan-2 Lunar landing point will be called the ‘Tiranga’ point.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday released another video of how a two-segment ramp facilitated the roll-down of the rover Pragyan.
"All planned Rover movements have been verified. The Rover has successfully traversed a distance of about 8 meters. Rover payloads LIBS and APXS are turned ON. All payloads on the propulsion module, lander module, and rover are performing nominally," ISRO said in a tweet.
