The Committee of Management Trust Shahi Masjid Idgah has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Allahabad High Court order to transfer all the petitions relating to Mathura's Krishna Janambhoomi land dispute from Uttar Pradeh's District Court Mathura to itself.
While speaking to ANI, DCP Jodhpur (West) Gaurav Yadav said, "A clash erupted between two groups of people over a land dispute, gathered yesterday night. The police used force to disperse the crowd after the law and order situation worsened. The situation is under control now."
Protest rallies were held against the massacre of Shiite teachers, which KPK authorities tried to prove a land dispute. The horrific incident took place after unidentified gunmen killed a person at Shalozan on Thursday.
While giving its verdict, the High Court has asked the District Judge of Mathura to pass an order after hearing afresh against the decision of the Civil Judge.
"Seven people have been detained and are being interrogated. Search is on for others," Madhubani SP said, adding that further investigation is underway.
The woman was identified as Rajkumari Lodhi and she succumbed to the burn injuries. The incident occurred in Chaurai village under Dehat police station limits in the district.
"There was a fight between two parties over a land dispute, during which the woman started to quarrel with her one-and-a-half-month-old child in his lap. During the quarrel, the child allegedly fell on the ground and died," Kumar added.
