Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday landed in Bengaluru to meet the scientists of the Indian Research and Space Organisation (ISRO) behind the successful accomplishment of India's lunar mission.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with the women scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who were involved in the 'Chandrayaan-3' project, commending the key role that they played in the successful culmination of India's maiden lunar landing mission.
PM Modi also announced that the touchdown spot of the Vikram lander on the lunar surface would from now onwards be known as the ‘Shiv Shakti’ point while the Chandrayaan-2 Lunar landing point will be called the ‘Tiranga’ point.
Posters of the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 have been put up near Delhi's Palam Airport to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his two-nation visit to South Africa and Greece.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday released another video of how a two-segment ramp facilitated the roll-down of the rover Pragyan.
"All planned Rover movements have been verified. The Rover has successfully traversed a distance of about 8 meters. Rover payloads LIBS and APXS are turned ON. All payloads on the propulsion module, lander module, and rover are performing nominally," ISRO said in a tweet.
Talking to the reporters here, Owaisi said there should be a special session of parliament to discuss, among others, the alleged loss of land on India's border with China.
"We are working on a set of guidelines that will be out soon to ensure there is no misuse of these exemptions. The exemptions have been made for strategically important projects to make the approval process less cumbersome," the official, on the condition of anonymity, told ANI.
