Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, today visited Ichhawar in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, and interacted with farmers as part of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA).
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who witnessed the event on Saturday, praised the effort and expressed hope that the festival would inspire innovation and diversification among local farmers.
Kashyap said various central schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Jal Jeevan Mission, RDSS, and PM-Krishi initiatives were driving development across sectors in the state. He urged officials to ensure quality implementation and timely completion of works.
"This is a tragedy caused by the government's irresponsibility. RCB is not a team representing the state. It is a private team bought by liquor vendors. In such a situation, the state government did not need to invite them and felicitate them," Snehamayi Krisha said.
