Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar on Sunday appealed to his Cabinet colleagues to visit flood-hit areas and attend to flood relief works.
According to an official release, "Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar will meet party workers and office bearers at the party office on Queens Road between 3 pm and 5 pm on July 6 to address their issues."

Speaking to reporters at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office, he said, "Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered an enquiry into the attack on the police station in Channagiri. The investigation is on and the culprits will be brought to book at any cost."

The action comes after a formal complaint lodged by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) with the Election Commission and Bengaluru police on Sunday alleging a violation of the model code of conduct.
