At least 11 people have been killed after severe weather and tornadoes tore through the South and Midwest, flung the roof from a concert venue and left more than 200,000 households without power.
Devastating storms and tornadoes scraped the South and Midwest Friday into early Saturday, killing at least seven people, injuring dozens more, trapping others in their homes, and damaging businesses and critical infrastructure, reported The New York Times (NYT).
Nine women have been killed as the overall death toll reached 12 in the Karachi stampede on Friday during a ration distribution drive in a factory, Geo News reported.
The military's media wing added, "However, during an intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Irshad Ullah, age 29 years, resident of District Karak, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat."
Giving details, forest officials said the leopard was killed and buried by the locals of the Barpathar Tengani area after it attacked and injured three people in the area.
Six people died in a car accident while one got critically injured after a speeding car rammed into a tree at in Adampur police station area of Hisar district, said a police source.
"One of the persons who were injured later succumbed to injuries. The incident occurred in Chutiakhor village panchayat of North Dinajpur," the police said.
While addressing the presser on Thursday, an Army spokesperson said that the HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, which were flying during the routine training mission out of the Fort Campbell military base, crashed in Trigg County, Kentucky, at around 10 pm (local time) Wednesday.
