Residents of Pakistan-occupied Gilgit Baltistan staged a mass protest against the ongoing violence, killings, and road blockades in Pakistan's Parachinar, in Kurram District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The United Nations Special Rapporteur Richard Bennett on Friday strongly condemned the killing of Afghan civilians, including women and children, in the recent airstrike by the Pakistani military in Afghanistan's Barmal district of Paktika province on December 24.

Other journalists at the spot said Ayman Al-Jadi, Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan, Mohammed Al-Lada'a, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali, and Fadi Hassouna were all sleeping in the vehicle when the strike hit.
