In a joint statement issued Saturday, the rights groups demanded an immediate investigation into the alleged violations and for the referral of the matter to the International Criminal Court through the United Nations Security Council, VOA reported.
According to a statement from the health ministry, the assault happened on Saturday in a residential area of Omdurman, the city next to the capital Khartoum. Unknown numbers of individuals were injured in the attack.

The UAE strongly condemned the storming and vandalism of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Khartoum, stressing the importance of protecting diplomatic missions in accordance with the norms and charters that govern and regulate diplomatic work.
"Today, a C-17 aircraft of the #IAF got airborne for Sudan carrying 24,000 kg of relief material. On its return journey, the aircraft will bring back approximately 150 stranded Indians," IAF said in a tweet.
