With the Karnataka Assembly polls drawing near, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday appointed a fifth working president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee in the form of former Lok Sabha BN Chandrappa.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved the proposal for the appointment of H.P. Sudham Das as Co-Chairman of the Campaign Committee of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, for the ensuing Assembly Elections in Karnataka-2023, the party said in a press statement.
"Congress made India the world's largest milk producer through the White Revolution. But... BJP's misrule betrayed our dairy farmers, due to which milk prices are increasing daily and now we are forced to import milk products. The difference is clear!", Kharge tweeted.
