The police crackdown on Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders show no signs of mercy as another female PTI leader Yasmin Rashid was arrested in Lahore on Friday, Geo News reported.
Her arrest comes after a series of arrests of multiple other PTI leaders, including Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Mohammad Khan, and Senator Ejaz Chaudhry.
In the audio -- posted by journalist Murtaza Shah -- a voice, suggested to be of Imran, could be heard telling Cheema to approach the top court, apparently against his arrest by the NAB, reported Dawn.
The supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were ecstatic over the release of their leader, Imran Khan and celebrated the top court's decision.
"The United States wants to see the upholding of the democratic principles and law in Pakistan," Vedant Patel said in a statement while reacting to political developments in Pakistan.
PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb while addressing a press conference in Islamabad said that "a few hundred armed protesters and terrorists have been attacking" the country and state properties regarding the protest by PTI supporters.
Khan's supporters around the country have used rocks, Molotov cocktails, and in a few cases, assault rifles, to attack police and have set fire to ambulances, police vehicles, and schools, and destroyed property. Police have responded using tear gas and rubber bullets, and charged at protest
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has provisionally attached immovable properties in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa worth Rs 5.37 crore belonging to Hemkunt Foundation.
Bilawal, while addressing a press conference in Karachi on Thursday, said, "The only advice I can give to the PTI is that what is done is done. The ones involved in this will have to answer for it."
