Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya addressed the issue of Khalistani extremism in Canada, acknowledging that the administration has long recognised the severity of this problem.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced on Tuesday that it has filed a chargesheet against a key associate of Khalistani terrorists Rinda and Landa in a Punjab terror conspiracy case.
Recalled Indian High Commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, alleged that Kahlistani extremists and terrorists are "deep assets" of Canada Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).

"Canada is not taking any actions, Canada doesn't have any empathy, Canada is displaying no empathy with regards to India. The reason being Trudeau has fallen trap to a Chinagate," Sachdev said.
India has denied Canada's allegations, calling them "absurd" and "motivated" and has accused Canada of giving space to extremist and anti-India elements in their country.
"Canada, I believe, is conflating separatist militancy with legitimate religion. They assume that all Sikhs are Khalistanis and all Khalistanis are Sikhs and that's where the problem lies fundamentally," Joe Adam George said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released a wanted poster for former Indian government employee, Vikash Yadav, in connection with his alleged role in directing a foiled plot to assassinate Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who is a US citizen.
The ties between India and Canada soured after Trudeau alleged in the Canadian Parliament last year that he has "credible allegations" of India's hand in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Canadian journalist Daniel Bordman called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's recent statement acknowledging that the evidence is intelligence-based rather than concrete on the Khalistan issue as a major win for the Indian narrative.

The US on Thursday said that the meeting with the Indian Inquiry Committee regarding the alleged foiled assassination plot of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was "productive" and America was "satisfied" with the cooperation.
