RailTel, a PSU under the Ministry of Railways has received a work order from Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd. (KSITIL) for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of ISP Hardware, Software and License for Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON).
According to an official release, the project will initially provide internet access to 100 houses in each legislative assembly constituency in the state.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the K-FON project on Monday, which aims to provide high-speed connectivity to households, commercial institutions and government offices throughout the state.
