In a trailer released by the film's makers, a character is heard saying that Kerala's former chief minister, in a reference to Achuthananthan, had said that the radical Popular Front of India is aiming to turn Kerala into an Islamic state by 2030.
Kerala High Court on Tuesday sought the response of the central government and the producers of the film 'The Kerala Story' on a plea seeking a stay on the film.
On pleas in Supreme Court against 'The Kerala Story', he said, "We have a 100 per cent trust on our courts, the court already gave a report that the film is a piece of art, it is not a hate speech. So, we think we will get justice. Truth triumphs in the end."

Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind on Tuesday approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the release of the movie 'The kerala Story' in theatres and OTT platforms saying the movie is likely to cause hatred and enmity between different sections of society in India.
