A family of Nepali mercenary who died while fighting from Russian side in ongoing war on Ukraine has performed cremation rituals by making a representational body using "Kush", a sacred grass of Hindus at Pashupati Aaryaghat.

Nepal Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba on Tuesday held a "reassuring" telephone conversation with Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Saar, discussing efforts to secure the release of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali national held captive by Hamas since October 7, 2023.
During the meeting, the Indian side informed that the request of Nepal for supply of 2,00,000 MT wheat had been accepted. The Nepali side expressed its appreciation to the Indian side for its continued support in ensuring the supply of essential commodities to Nepal.
Lamichhane, who was released on bail on Thursday after 84 days in custody, arrived at the court in his own vehicle and waved at the media as he walked into the court without making any comments.
